At my school, we are focusing on Standard 3 this term, I believe I have demonstrated I have achieved a proficient standard, and now I want to work towards becoming highly accomplished. Looking at the descriptions, I really have a LONG way to go. So... here I am jotting and brainstorming down some action plan points I could attempt from now and towards the coming year.
Develop a culture of high expectations for all students by modelling and setting challenging learning goals.
- Currently our school's policy is to provide weekly feedback on SEQTA to parents regarding
- Ensure I maintain high expectations earlier on in the year
- Developing some online self learning access centres to ensure the strong students are being challenged in a meaningful way
3.2 Plan, structure and sequence learning programs
Work with colleagues to plan, evaluate and modify learning and teaching programs to create productive learning environments that engage all students.
- Monster High - developed a more engaging approach to normal units we learn.
3.3 Use teaching strategies
Support colleagues to select and apply effective teaching strategies to develop knowledge, skills, problem solving and critical and creative thinking.
3.4 Select and use resources
Assist colleagues to create, select and use a wide range of resources, including ICT, to engage students in their learning.
- Try to work other teachers
3.5 Use effective classroom communication
Assist colleagues to select a wide range of verbal and non-verbal communication strategies to support students’ understanding, engagement and achievement.

This is just a brainstorm, lots to think about this year!
