WHY I HAVE CHOSEN TO INTEGRATE INTO MY PEDAGOGY...
Quite a few of my students do not appear to connect that language learning is accumulative. They often would rip out their notes and never refer to their vocabulary lists. They preferred to "Google Translate" as often as possible if they thought I wasn't looking (I still laugh because they can't work out how it is so OBVIOUS to the teacher).
- Exercises the creative side of students' brains.
- Appeals to more multiple multiple intelligences, visual
- Pride in own work.
- Developing stronger organisational habits.
To begin...
- Pintrest has been very helpful for trawling through relevant and useful websites. Follow my ISN Pintrest Board here.
- There are less examples of ISNs for modern foreign language, so the most invaluable for developing my ideas for my ISNs is Profesor Baros' examples. She uses in conjunction with Edmodo, and has a detailed guide on how she sets up her notebook.
- "Everybody is a Genius" blog gives a very detailed walkthrough of the process of setting up ISNs, and using them in a middle school mathematics context. Easily applicable to any subject.
