She completed a year long internship; two days a week, until Term 3, where she was thrown right into it. I think teaching internships are a great idea, (although very painful on the pocket when you need to work as a student!), because it allows the practical teacher to develop good rapport with the students. Once they hit Term 3, it's a smoother transition.
I have really enjoyed watching another teacher grow. I can't believe it's my sixth year of teaching, and this experience of supervising a practical student has really helped me reflect on my own teaching practice.
Terima kasih for all your hard work, and you are going to be a great teacher!
