I found a youth group activity that worked really well with this so I have adapted for a language situation.

My Indonesian language class version below!
Learning Intention: To revise emotion words and create sentences from words learned from Term 1 - 4.
1. Sit in a circle as a class
2. Send out the "psikolog" (one student) of the room, if you have a big class, maybe send out 2.
3. Students decide what "feeling" they are as a group
4. Psychologist asks questions of each student to clarify and deduce how the group is feeling.
Questions to ask:
Kamu makan apa? What are you eating?
Kamu melakukan apa? What are you doing?
Kamu di mana? Where are you?
e.g. "sakit"
Kamu makan apa?
Saya makan tuna, pisang dan susu.
Kamu melakukan apa?
Saya berenang di pantai dan makan tuna, pisang dan susu.
Kamu di mana?
Saya di pantai dan panas sekali. Saya tidak ada topi.
The "psikolog" needs to identify the feeling that everyone is having.
To make this a successful activity, students really need to brainstorm different scenarios before they launch into playing the game.
We did a basic word brainstorm on the whiteboard as a class. I modelled possible answers.
Students write a sentence to reflect each feeling.
If they struggled to recall or make sentences, they simply asked "Apa artinya..?"
I know with some extra pre-learning, this game could be very effective way to practice their language.
Not perfect task, but simple, effective and fun! Students enjoyed the problem solving element and trying to speak.
